I've wanted to paint one like this for a while and it was a challenge. I was intrigued by the subtle shifts in value as the scene goes back into the distance.

This is from a trip to the Sunnylands Estate in southern California. I was drawn to the vibrant colors of the landscape in the foreground compared to the dusty blues in the background.
