We've were fortunate to spend some time in Pensacola in February and I took this picture on a walk after church on one Sunday morning. I liked the challenge of the truck in shade in the foreground with the cool frame house awash in light in the background.
This is one I painted last month while we were in Pensacola, FL. We visited the beach a couple times but on the day I took the reference picture for this painting it was super cold and windy so the beach was empty. I loved the desolation, emptiness versus the bright colors of the image.
This scene is from a late summer trip trip, probably someplace in Iowa. The day was bright and the corn was high.
This is another one from last fall from a trip to a beautiful lake in New Hampshire. (I am way behind in my posting!)
I am way behind on posting! I painted this a couple months ago because of the bright reflections on the window and the beautiful sky in the distance.
I've wanted to do a nocturne for a while and I liked this one with that lit upstairs window.
