This one is from a trip to Grand Marais last summer. We got up early one morning and took a walk while camping nearby. Beautiful morning!

Shade & Glory
9" x 12" Oil on canvas panel
We've were fortunate to spend some time in Pensacola in February and I took this picture on a walk after church on one Sunday morning. I liked the challenge of the truck in shade in the foreground with the cool frame house awash in light in the background.

Pensacola Beach
9"x12" Oil on canvas panel
This is one I painted last month while we were in Pensacola, FL. We visited the beach a couple times but on the day I took the reference picture for this painting it was super cold and windy so the beach was empty. I loved the desolation, emptiness versus the bright colors of the image.

Shimmer
9" x 12" oil on canvas panel
I've been busy with commissions and not been able to post. Shimmer has been on the easel for a while; something was just bugging me about it. I adjusted a couple of the edges on the floatie and added some warmth to the pattern on the floor of the pool and now the painting is sitting better with me.

Miles From Here
16" x 20" oil on canvas
This scene is from a late summer trip trip, probably someplace in Iowa. The day was bright and the corn was high.
